Who We Are

The Halton Agricultural Society was formed in March of 1853 with Thomas Douglas as the first President.

A non-profit organization, incorporated under the Agricultural and Horticultural Organizations Act in 1853. Since 1864, the Halton Agricultural Society has called downtown Milton home, at the Milton Fairgrounds located on Robert Street.

The Board of Directors oversee daily Society operations, meeting every second Tuesday of the month. Discussions include the Halton and surrounding regions’ agricultural industry, strategies to care for and protect our grounds, and ways to maximize our impact in supporting the community through events and promotions.
